If you have been experiencing failed or poor delivery of messages when you send SMS, or if certain numbers do not get your SMS, it is most likely as a result of the creation of DND (Do Not Disturb). Even your own number may no longer be receiving bulk sms if DND was activated on it, with or without your consent!
The DND service was enacted by the NCC (Nigerian Communication Commission) and became effective from 1st July 2016. The service blocks phone lines from receiving bulk sms or promo texts from third parties. However this can be deactivated if one discovers that he is not receiving important messages especially using MTN numbers.
For some GSM subscribers, the service was activated on their lines without their consent. This may be so for those numbers that are not getting your bulk sms. You can encourage your recipients to opt out of the DND service, or activate partially. It is completely FREE of charge! To do so, first text the word STOP from the affected phone to the short code 2442, then text ALLOW to 2442.
Also, bulk sms with some custom IDs may not be delivered. Alternatively, use rUPDATE or rNOTIFY as your Sender ID to ensure delivery.
Note that bulk sms sent to DND numbers are still billed by GSM operators even though it won’t be delivered. But before sending your bulk sms on sms-depot.com, Our system will detect DND numbers and display them for you, automatically excluding them from the send list. You can optionally select them manually to include them back on the send list. We have however received feedback from few of our subscribers that some of the DND numbers manually included may still fail to receive bulk sms sent.
We are working on a solution that will ensure delivery using any custom ID and guarantee delivery to DND numbers through the financial services route though delivery may cost a little more.
May Allah bless you with Happiness and grace your home with warmth and peace at this Eid al Fitr and always! Barka da Sallah from all of us at Iortyange Computers
If your business doesn’t have a website then you are losing prospects, customers and sales!. Let us briefly go over the ever increasing need to have an online presence when it comes to your business. No longer can you rely on the phone book to get people walking through the door. Your customers are on the internet searching for your products and services, and if they don’t find you they’ll simply choose one of your competitors that are online and do business with them. So you will end up forfeiting that sale.
Now, you may be thinking that websites are too pricey, or you may think it’s not that important to have a website. A website speaks for you while your attend to other needs or even when you are asleep! Below are top 7 reasons why you may want to change your mind about doing business online:
You can Target a Bigger Audience
You have the world at your fingertips when it comes to the internet. Never before has information been so accessible to you and I. Millions of people in Kolkata are online every day searching for something. If your business is online, then the chances of people discovering your business and what you have to offer greatly increases.
Increase Your Brand Awareness
It’s all about getting noticed, and what better way to get your brand out there than to market yourself online. And now, with the advent of Social Media, business is starting to jump at the opportunity to get their message heard. Having a website in conjunction with Social Media is an extremely potent combination and is a great way to bring recognition to your company.
Another reason you need to be online is that with a website, you now have the opportunity to generate more leads. Here’s an example: let’s say you own a computer repair shop and someone comes to your website, and on your site, you’re offering a free e-book about how to keep your computer running fast. You offer this e-book in exchange for their email address. Once they sign up to receive the e-book, you then have a lead. Now you have a way to stay in contact with that individual which may eventually turn into a sale later on down the line. If you didn’t have a website, you would’ve lost that lead. So lead gathering is another great reason why you need a website.
To Build Relationships with Your Customers
Having an online presence gives you the opportunity to build relationships with your customers in Kolkata and gives them the chance to get to know you and your company better. It’s a great way for them to have an inside look at what you do. You can have blogs, company history, pictures, videos etc. A website allows you to become accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
Having a Website Speaks Professionalism
Let’s face it. These days if your business doesn’t have a professional looking website, people will not take you as seriously as your competition that is online and doing well because of it. Having a professional, cutting edge website will speak for itself and will let people know that you mean business and you’re ready to serve them.
Since you do business online, you and your clients would be able to process your transactions faster and smoother. This will save them the time and effort in making deals live in person, especially when both of you are always on the go.
Having a website is cheaper.
When you have a business, you are of course obliged to spend for advertising and promotion services, but when you own a website, you can do all your advertising stuff there. You would have more freedom to promote your products and services, and make more people notice you.
